The Officers, Staff Noncommissioned Officers and Marines of BLT 2/3 of 1979 extend our sincere condolences and sympathies to the families and friends of those Marines and sailors who have passed away. Please take a moment to remember in your own way our "Fallen Comrades."

Damian R. Ford, 54, of Exeter, Missouri passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, in the Missouri Veterans Home, Mt. Vernon, Missouri. |
He was born Jan. 10, 1955, in New York City, N.Y and received his education in California. At the age of 17 he joined the United States Marine Corps. In the Marine Corps he served in Vietnam, Hawaii, South Korea, Panama, and in Kuwait and Iraq during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He retired from the Marine Corps in Hawaii. He was a member of Ridgley Baptist Church in Exeter, Missouri. Staff Sergeant Ford was burial with military honors in the Concord Cemetery, Exeter, Missouri. |

A Memorial Service will be held during the reunion in honor of the service, bravery, and sacrifices that these men made to the Marine Corps and to this Nation.
The time and place of the Memorial Service will announced at a later date.
