Unit Organization
As a 1,000-man Battalion Landing Team, BLT 2/3 was tasked to train and deploy to the Western Pacific (WESTPAC) aboard U.S. Navy ships as part of a forward-deployed Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF).
The other two components of the MAGTF that trained with and supported BLT 2/3 were:
Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262 (HMM-262)
Logistics Support Unit Hotel, (LSU Hotel)
